Carrie Brown is a writer and historian who uncovers the human
story behind historic events, technological change, and artistic endeavor.
Her work as a consultant and curator draws upon twenty years' experience as a museum professional and non-profit manager.
Services include
Carrie has served as curator for exhibitions on the history of the bicycle, the concept of the Air Age, the early years of the automobile, and the role of machine tools in creating the consumer culture in twentieth-century America. Her most recent book, Rosie's Mom, tells the story of women doing nontraditional work during the first World War.
Private William Heath, 4th Vermont Infantry, killed at
the Wilderness May 5, 1864. Carrie's current projects include
exhibitions and conference presentations commemorating the upcoming
150th anniversary of the Civil War.
